Domestic airlines to Koro Island by Air Fiji

Air Fiji is a local airline that operates out of Suva and has 6 flights per day Nadi- Suva and vice versa. The fare is $126 or $110 as part of an overseas ticket, one way. Children (2-12years) pay $77 and children under 2 years pay $38 of the fare. Please check this.

Air Fiji flies Suva Koro and Koro Suva on Wednesdays. Always check flights and times when booking. These flights can be booked from overseas - see address book.

Baggage allowance

15kg checked in with 5kg carry on.

Excess Baggage will be charged at $1.41/kg

Charters are available - use web addresses to arrange this.

Pacific Sun

Pacific Sun is Air Pacific's domestic carrier. Pacific Sun does not fly to Koro Island but flies Nadi/Suva/Nadi, and Nadi/Savusavu/Nadi. So now when you're booking your Air Pacific flight you can book through to Suva or Savusavu.

Northern Air

A private charter 9 seater can do cheaper charters than Air Fiji (F$1,500 Suva/Koro/Suva return). See address book for contacts.

Sea Planes

There are two seaplane companies operating out of Nadi.

They are Turtle Airways and Pacific Island Sea Planes. They are available for charter and should be contacted directly. They can land on the bay directly outside Dere Bay Resort. This is the quickest way to get to Koro Island (besides helicopters) See address book for contacts.

Helicopters

Island Hoppers is the helicopter company based at Nadi Airport . They are available for charter and we have a helicopter landing pad at Tulani, down the beach from Dere Bay resort which was used extensively during the Hollywood filming of "Under the Roof". See address book for contacts.

Cars

For greater safety and efficiency of cars on Koro roads we recommend the following:

  1. Always have a good tread on all tyres
  2. Fuel in drums can sometimes be less than perfect so we recommend you filter the fuel before it goes into the car with a Baha Fuel Filter (available from Tradewinds Marine phone: 3361 522 - speak to Godfrey).
  3. Diesel Conditioner when added to the drums of diesel fuel (1:1000 ratio) keeps the engine and the fuel cleaner and gives better fuel economy. (Available in bulk from Don Kyatt Spare Parts, 178 Ratu Mara Rd, Samabula)
  4. Keep cars well serviced
